Breakaway Music required an online presence for their first release, — Hidden In My Heart – A Lullaby Journey Through Scripture — that echoed the relaxing nature of the album. This website for Christian Musician CeCe Winans represents her music and "brand" through its clean and classy layout. Large promotional photography serves as a focal point against the largely black and white design. Website development was part of the project and the site was built using an open source content management system to allow the client to fully control their site and make updates with ease. Nashville Celtics is a non-profit organization that teaches young men about life through basketball. The sports website's design inspiration was drawn from global sporting brands. A clean sleek look with design elements derived from the game provide a contemporary look for this great organization. The site was developed using open source content management software and included custom user management to allow the twelve+ coaches to control their respective team page's content including news, player profiles and event calendars. This custom Flash Design and Development for Gaylord Entertainment entailed creation of a landing page for a targeted email marketing campaign. The end product was a completely customizable experience that included a photo slideshow with accompanying text for each image. The all-Flash landing pages are easily "re-skinned" with xml and image replacement making them extremely flexible and quickly edited.
This project entailed the design and development of a CMS-based website that allows the client to make content updates with ease. The logo design was also part of this project. It was a cold day in March 2009 when I first posted to this blog. I mused about finding a Bojangles In Nashville. It was Nashville Interactive's most delicious post to date. Not that it's significant in the grand scheme of things but it seems like only yesterday I was designing and launching this version of the site. It's been a very great year and I have much more than a lot of people could hope for these days and I'm thankful for every bit of it.

Petersen Insurance is an agency that caters to entertainment industry professionals. The site needed to be very usable but still portray a slightly more "hip" feel. Imagery of stages, guitars and equipment is used throughout the site to achieve this goal. The Always Sisters Forever Brothers website was designed and developed by Nashville Interactive. It involved a custom WordPress installation for content management and extensive javascript and front-end development. The top-level content is presented in a sliding format to give the user a unique experience. Great care was taken to ensure that the browser back and forward buttons worked with all major browsers and also that deep-linking to top-level content was possible. Work Media is an internet marketing company with a light-hearted and hip brand. This logo is based on abstracted pixels that represent the digital aspect of the company as well as its friendly nature.
Had the oddest thing happen today; The spacebar and option keys stopped working while I was using Illustrator CS4. I did a little searching and testing and found that Firefox (v3.6) was the culprit. I quit FF and the spacebar/hand tool/option keys were back! I was able to restart Firefox and everything is still working fine with both programs running. I'm sure other programs could cause this issue as well. Odd bug that can drive you crazy. Makes you realize how important that little spacebar is.
